Privacy Policy
Your email is yours. Here's exactly what we do with it.
Effective date: June 12, 2026 · Centurion Aegis is made by Novacor LLC.
Centurion Aegis exists to protect people from scams — so earning your trust with your data isn't a legal checkbox for us, it's the entire product. This policy is written in plain English on purpose. If anything here is unclear, email us and a human will answer.
I. What Centurion Aegis does
Centurion Aegis is a browser extension that analyzes emails you open in Gmail, Outlook, or Yahoo Mail and displays a risk verdict ("looks safe," "caution," "high risk") with a plain-English explanation. To do that, it must be able to see the content of the email you're viewing. This policy explains what happens to that content.
II. What we access, and when
- Email content you open. When you open an email, the extension scans its text, sender address, and links for known scam signals. This first scan happens locally, in your browser — for most emails, nothing is sent anywhere.
- Deeper AI review. If an email looks suspicious or tricky, its content is sent securely to our analysis service to get a more careful AI evaluation, and the verdict is sent back to your browser.
- We do not access your email password, your contacts, your folders, or emails you haven't opened. The extension does not send, delete, move, or modify any email.
III. What we store
- On your device: the extension caches verdicts locally (so an email you've already opened isn't analyzed twice) along with small settings like whether you've dismissed the welcome card. This stays in your browser and is removed if you uninstall the extension.
- On our servers: email content sent for deeper AI review is processed to produce a verdict and is not retained as a stored copy of your mail. Our servers keep operational data such as the weekly scam digest and anonymous usage counts needed to run the service.
IV. What we never do
- We never sell your personal information or email content — to anyone, for any reason.
- We never use your email content for advertising, marketing profiles, or any purpose other than analyzing it for scams at your request.
- We never read your email out of curiosity — analysis is automated; humans at Novacor do not browse user email content.
V. The services that help us run
- Cloudflare hosts our analysis service and this website.
- Anthropic provides the AI model that performs the deeper review of suspicious emails. Content sent for analysis is used solely to produce your verdict; under Anthropic's API terms, it is not used to train their models.
- Stripe processes subscription payments. Your card details go directly to Stripe — we never see or store your full card number.
VI. Account & payment information
If you create an account or subscribe, we collect your email address, your plan details, and records of your subscription status. Payment processing is handled by Stripe. We use your account email to provide the service and send essential service messages (like receipts or important changes). We don't send marketing email unless you opt in, and you can unsubscribe from any marketing at any time.
VII. How long we keep things
Locally cached verdicts and settings remain on your device until you clear them or uninstall the extension. Account and billing records are kept while your account is active and as required for legal and tax purposes after it closes. Email content submitted for AI review is processed transiently to produce a verdict and is not kept as a stored copy of your mail.
VIII. Your choices and rights
- Stop all analysis: uninstall the extension (or disable it in your browser). Local data is removed with it.
- Access or deletion: email us at hello@centurionaegis.app to ask what account information we hold about you, or to delete your account and its records.
- Depending on where you live (for example, California or the EU/UK), you may have additional legal rights over your data — we honor reasonable requests from everyone, everywhere, regardless of geography.
IX. Security
All communication between the extension, our servers, and our providers uses encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). Our analysis endpoints require authentication tokens. No security is perfect, but we build with the assumption that your email content is among the most sensitive data there is — because it is.
X. Children
Centurion Aegis is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
XI. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the effective date above and post a clear notice on this page (and notify subscribers by email for significant changes). Continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.
